RULES
Simple rules to let us all get along in harmony with happy clouds and frolicking bunnies.
There is a 1-strike system. That's right, only 1. Not going to let it slide 3 times anymore. After 1 strikes, you get banned. This place has been overrun by childish garbage for too long, and we're cracking down on flames faster than California Forrest Rangers. So be polite and courteous towards your fellow member here. This means, if we close your thread, and you remake it without our permission, you will be banned, even if we don't officially warn you.
1) As the title of this forum states, "PAINTBALL Talk." Overall miscellaneous talk about everything paintball. If you can, keep Autococker questions in the 'Cocker forum. Tank questions in the Air System forum. And so forth. You'll get much better responses there any ways. Every thing else, go ahead and post here. Everything else that doesn't belong here in Paintball Talk will either be moved, closed, or deleted. Depending on the thread.
2) No flaming. Have the urge to insult somebody? Want to call somebody a noob, an idiot, a moron, any thing like that? Well, do it and you'll be kicked outta here faster than the fat man in the Chinese all-you-can-eat buffets. If you seriously can't post anything here without the need to insult a member, then you won't be missed after you're banned since you will not be welcome here. It's not hard to do, so don't flame!
3) NO Spam. Or even Spam Light, or Turkey Spam. None of it. If you want to advertise something you can go right on ahead…. just like every other company and buy bulletin board space. And just pray I find your spam before some other Mods do, not all of us are lenient. Spam posting guidelines also include the posting of porn or links to porn. Spam is usually considered advertising, but much more can be spam. Posting repeated enters and huge macros are also spam. Doing it to flame someone or ruin a thread will result in a ban, if you do it just because, then I will usually take out every space/enter you type. We are no longer tolerating "Would you buy this?" threads. They become an annoyance, clutter, and usually spam.
4) No cheating the swear filter. That's right, if you can't post without having to say **** or **** or any of that. Then too bad, you leave them alone. The filter is there for a reason. If that's too much for you, that you honestly think your groundbreaking statement can not be made without going @$$ then you also won't be missed when banned. This includes all words covered by the swear filter. If you evade it, especially when it's a flame, you'll be banned; first offense, no warning. This goes for referring to the year someone registered in. Any variations are also against the rules.
5) No 'Marker vs. Marker' type of threads. The "which should I get" or "should I trade this for that" type of threads are over redundant. The answer is always the same, PERSONAL PREFERENCE. That answer shall never change. If you want to know wich one is better do your own research and make your own conclusions. Go to a shop or feild and shoot one. Whatever one feels better to you is the better gun. This also includes any "____ vs ____" threads, Rate my gun, Wich gun is cooler, whether pinning up markers, pants, masks, etc. - Okay, there seems to be a problem with people understanding this rule. If ANY mod thinks your thread may even slightly relate to this, they can close it. They don't need to explain how it relates to this rule. No argueing. This goes for ANY type of thread. Comparing anything, whether be decisions or items, your thread will be closed.
6) No sharing illegal bootlegs/pirated software for copyrighted videos. As much as it sucks that you might have to pay a WHOLE 20 dollars, go support the people who made them and just buy the DVD.
7) "Upping" a thread is allowed in the B/S/T forums. NOT in PbTalk. It will result in your thread being closed.
8) "Make me a logo" or "Logo Contests" will not be permitted. And if "But 0MG i ne3d a log0 4 my team", then go to a design company. They will charge 5-10 bucks for a great logo.
Don't like the rules? Tough. Deal with it. If you don't like them, you have every right to leave! You are not forced to be here, this is a privately owned and funded information site. Not your personal playground. You either play by the rules, or won't play at all. Our way or the Highway. Monkey See Monkey Do. One in the bush is a ........ don't know, there's some old expression that has the word bush in it, I know. Thousands of people are already getting along fine with just posting questions, and thousands others posting answers. We want this place to be somewhere that a parent isn't afraid to let their child roam around on to find the information he needs, and currently in order to get to that type of forum.... sadly enough some members make us have to get harsh. But so be it.
Enjoy your time here and follow the rules, we'll all get along fine and have a fun time.
